Not a bad day. We travelled through Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and are spending the night in Toledo, Ohio. We've made good time and are planning to arrive in Meredith around lunch time on Saturday which will make moving in much easier than the original plan. Yes Josh, Wisconsin's roads continue to be monumentally poor (or maybe it's just that I've only ever driven on them while towing something very awkward and likely to come off and kill people with every slight bump). We were nervous about Chicago, bit it ended up being a breeze (quite literally - the wind was insane!). We've now entered the Eastern Time Zone and tomorrow's post will likely come from somewhere near Albany, see you all then!
Day 3 (Menomonie, WI - Toledo, OH)
total trip miles = 2,089
total trip driving time = 39.5 hrs
total trip fuel cost = $867.23
(today's toll expenses = $54.45!!!)

I can't believe the toll expense! What was the most expensive single charge?
Sounds like you are talking about moving right in to your place on Saturday. Have they let you know it will be ready?
You've been making really good time--so glad you are past Chicago. I was concerned about that, too.
Gregg says "hi". : )
Good luck on the last couple of days guys! Love your guts!
What more can you expect from the windy city. I wonder what it is about the roads in Wisconsin, maybe they don't charge enough at the tolls or don't have them at all. Thanks for the update and enjoy upstate New York.
So glad for another safe travel day. I hope you are enjoying this a little bit. Angie likes road trips......right? This is exciting! I will call tomorrow :) Mom
Ohio! Yes! Did I guess it or what? I hope you didn't stop just so I'd be right:) Its too bad you aren't in Toledo on Saturday night.. I hear its like being nowhere at all;) Glad you whipped right through the metropolis! Keep up the good work.
