Crisp, Clean Mountain Air*

Ah, how refreshing to escape the smog and slush and head for the mountains. Angie and I have been wanting to go snowshoeing for a while and something kept coming up, but today we finally did it! It was really pretty there (and super cold). We narrowly avoided a tragic deer slaughtering on the way down the canyon too. He jumped right in front of us!!! We had to slam on the breaks and we were both pretty shook up, but no harm, no foul :)

I so want to go again this year!!! YOur mountains look very inviting. Scary about the deer. They can really mess up your car and it is not so good for the deer either. can't wait to do some traveling with you guys:) mom

Dan,

Look at the album cover of Dan Fogelberg's High Country Snows and you will realize that just for a moment he occupied your body and returned to the Rocky Mountains for the instant that the top left picture in your post was taken.
